This job isn't for everyone. You're the right person if:
You've done something extraordinary early – designed custom electronics, built embedded systems, programmed microcontrollers, led Formula SAE, Robotics, Rocketry, or another hardware-focused competition team, or owned electrical or controls work during an internship.
You enjoy moving between hardware and software and understanding how the entire system works.
You'd rather debug hardware in the lab than sit in a conference room.
You want ownership, not hand-holding.
Hard problems energize you.
You like seeing something you designed come to life.
What You'll Do
Own a defined portion of Superpower's electrical or embedded controls architecture – from instrumentation and sensors to embedded controllers, wiring architecture, and hardware integration.
Design, build, and validate electrical systems that generate the data needed to develop, control, and protect the engine.
Partner closely with propulsion, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test engineers to integrate electrical hardware into a first-of-its-kind gas turbine platform.
Develop and troubleshoot embedded hardware and control systems during engine testing, quickly identifying root causes and improving system performance.
Help build reliable systems that connect hardware, software, and test – from first prototype through engine validation.
You Probably Have
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a closely related field.
Internship, research, or project experience designing, integrating, or testing electrical, embedded, or control systems.
Experience with embedded programming, instrumentation, microcontrollers, electrical design, PCB development, sensors, or hardware integration.
Comfortable working in the lab with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and real hardware – not just simulations.
A track record of taking ownership, finishing difficult projects, and solving problems without waiting for someone else to hand you the answer.
Engineers who want to spend their first year doing work that actually matters should apply.
